The odds and ends that make an Original Xbox nicer to own and easier to mod. Some of these are functional necessities, some are quality-of-life, one is a keychain. All of them are cheap.
USB adapters — the important ones
The Original Xbox controller port is electrically USB with a proprietary plug, which is why a plain adapter is all it takes to connect standard USB devices.

These are what you use to get a save file onto the console during a softmod, and afterwards to plug in a USB stick for file transfers. If you are starting a softmod from scratch, buy the Xbox Softmodding Kit instead — it already includes an adapter.

Cables and comfort
Xbox Controller Extension Cable — 1.8 m, for playing from the couch rather than the carpet. A genuine convenience item and one of the few things that is genuinely nicer than the original setup.
Cosmetics and spares
Replacement TPU Feet with screw hole — our own 3D prints. The original rubber feet dry out, fall off and disappear; a console without feet slides around and sits wrong. These screw in properly rather than relying on twenty-year-old adhesive.

One thing to check before ordering
