The metal cage that holds the hard drive in an Original Xbox. It bolts to the chassis over the DVD drive and takes a standard 3.5-inch IDE drive on four side screws. If you bought a console that arrived without its bracket, or yours has a snapped mounting tab or a stripped thread, this is the genuine part rather than a printed approximation.
Anyone doing an HDD upgrade knows why this matters: an unsupported drive sits at an angle, puts strain on the IDE header, and the vibration goes straight into the case. The stock bracket takes all of that.

Installation
Difficulty: Easy. Screw your drive into the bracket, then drop the assembly onto the chassis posts and secure it. No soldering required. 10–15 minutes.

Compatibility
Fits all Original Xbox revisions: 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and 1.6b — the chassis and its HDD mounting points were unchanged across the run.
Takes a standard 3.5-inch IDE (PATA) hard drive, which is what every Original Xbox shipped with.
