Installation
Difficulty: Easy. Open the console with a T20 Torx driver, plug one end into the motherboard header and the other into the drive. Keyed connectors — it only goes in one way. No soldering required. 5 minutes.

My drive is completely dead — is this the problem? It's the cheapest thing to rule out. No power at the drive means no tray movement and no spin-up, which looks identical to a dead drive.
Does this carry data as well? No. Power only. The data connection is the 40-pin IDE ribbon, which is a separate cable.
Is it the original Microsoft part? Yes, a genuine pull. Tested before listing.
