Installation
Difficulty: Easy. No tools required in most cases and no soldering. Time: two minutes.
Grip the old cap firmly and pull it straight up off the potentiometer shaft — do not lever it sideways, that is how shafts snap. Press the new one down squarely until it seats. If the old cap is welded on by two decades of grime, a little isopropyl around the base helps.

Made for the Original Xbox Controller S. Console revision is irrelevant here; what matters is which controller you have.

Will they fit the big Duke controller? See the VERIFY note above; do not assume yes.
One of my sticks drifts. Will new caps fix it? No. Drift is the potentiometer inside the stick module, not the cap. New caps fix grip, not drift.
