This is the small front-panel PCB that carries the Power and Eject buttons on an Original Xbox — the board the two tactile switches sit on, wired back to the motherboard. When a console refuses to power on, powers on only if you lean on the button, or the tray won’t eject no matter how hard you press, this board is very often the culprit rather than the PSU or the drive. Every unit here is a genuine Microsoft pull, tested before it goes in the box.

Installation
Difficulty: Easy. Open the console with a T20 Torx driver (six case screws, under the feet and the label), lift out the DVD drive and HDD to reach the front panel, unclip the old PCB and drop this one in. No soldering required. Budget 20–30 minutes including reassembly.
Tools: T20 Torx screwdriver, small flat tool for the clips.
Compatibility
Fits all first-generation Original Xbox revisions: 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and 1.6b. Microsoft kept the front-panel button assembly the same across the production run, so there is no revision-matching to worry about.

Frequently asked questions
My Xbox powers on but the tray won't open — is this the fix? It is one of two likely causes. The other is a stretched or perished DVD drive belt. If the drive motor hums and nothing moves, start with the belt; if the console does nothing at all when you press Eject, this PCB is the better bet.
Do I need to solder anything? No. It's a plug-and-clip part.
Is it tested? Yes. Every board is tested for both button functions before listing. It is a used part, so expect minor cosmetic wear.
Will it fix a console that shows the "flashing red/orange" front LED? No. That points at the power supply or the motherboard, not the button board.
